Oh Happy Day!!!

Today is a glorious day! One of hubby's dear dear friend's Chaplain Fisher made it home from Iraq!!!! How exciting!! His wife Sara - is such a brave, wonderful person who has been raising their adorable baby alone while Jon heeded the call.... It is just such a relief when friends and family make it back from a deployment!!! We are SOOO glad he has made it home safe and sound and we just can't wait to see him!!! (Oh make sure you click on Sara's blog and see the most adorable homecoming photo ever!!!)

One of the things I have been meaning to ask you guys is - has anyone read "The Shack"???? Oh my goodness!! I LOVED this book!!!! It was totally nothing like I was expecting and I though it was pretty incredible!

Evidently- it has been getting A LOT of attention - both good and bad as of late... I mean how many books do you know that has gotten 4 and a half stars on Amazon after being reviewed 883 TIMES!!!!!

I know that I felt incredible sadness at times when reading this book. I laughed out loud (honestly!!) and there was even a few times I had to read a certain paragraph (or two or three) to my hubby!!!!

Here is the Product Description:

Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever. In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant "The Shack" wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?" The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You'll want everyone you know to read this book!

And I have to say - I agree - I went out and purchased another copy to pass on to my family and friends!!! So if you are looking for an intriguing read - I highly recommend "The Shack!" And if you have read it - I would love to hear what you though!

Until Next Time!

Cya~
