First I want to thank all of you that shopped my Election Day sale.... and even though the elections did NOT come out the way I wanted them to - I hope you feel like you got a GREAT deal at my sale!

Speaking of sales and Paperthreads... I have 18 new files I hope to get up soon! I just have to finish up the conversions and write the text documents (grrr I hate writing the text documents!!!). So when Black Friday hits - I will have another sale (and that will probably be my last sale of the year) and there will be a few new things for your enjoyment!!!

Yesterday I told you that I was going to share a new product with you that wasn't made for scrapping but oh the possibilities I see by adding it to my scrapbooking tool box!

As I think some of you know (from a past post) my mother in law had come to visit a few weeks ago and while she was here she shared the basics of quilting with me. (I think she is trying to turn me into a quilter!!!! I don't think she knows how bad my sewing skills are!!! Bahahahah!!!)

Well I decided to try my hand at a few squares for a project that she is helping with - and one of the things I had learned to do is "Fussy Cut".

Now for all you non quilters out there - "fussy cutting" is when you take a printed fabric and you cut out just the part of the print that you want to use. Well, having never cut quilting squares before - "fussy cutting" was pretty hard for me to do - UNTIL.....

I found the June Taylor "Get Squared" Ruler.

This ruler allows you to see what you are cutting out in the middle.

Additionally you can get perfect borders around an item cause you can see THOUGH the ruler!!!!


It is pretty cool! I also went to the June Tayor website and browsed through their products... man there is a lot of stuff here that you could use in your scrapping tool box!!!

And the best part?!?!?! I used my 40% off coupon at Joann's and I got my "Get Squared" ruler for less than $6!!!! How is that for a deal!?!?!? I got the 8.5" outside and 4.5" inside ruler but there is a several to chose from - there is even an 12.5" one.... man oh man!

So there you have it.... a tool that was created for quilting but is going to make an awesome addition to my scrapping kit!

Election Day.....

IS TOMORROW!!!!! Do NOT let it pass you by with out voting! This is an important right that our military fights for you to have.... don't let their sacrifices be in vain - GO OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Now my momma always said don't EVER discuss money, religion or politics with your friends! It usually doesn't turn out pretty....... so - since I consider all of you my friends.... I am not going to get into a discussion about what I think you should do - BESIDES GO OUT AND VOTE!!! Nor am I going to tell you WHO I think you should vote for.... but... well - since this is MY blog - I am just going to say this....

And leave it at that!!!! Bahahahah!!!!
