PAPERTHREAD RETREAT....

Whoooo Hoooo.... it is 12:47 AM and the Paperthreads Retreat officially begins later on today!!! Jan (from Sam and Hailey Designs) made it here in one piece and a little later on this morning we are heading to Charleston SC to meet up with Michelle and the gang!!!!

Needless to say I didn't get my freebie up today!! Sorry!!! It was CRAZY!!! First, someone hacked into my main Beloved Keepsakes website... so I was up late into the night researching and trying to get that fixed! (Thank Goodness it is all repaired now!!!) Then I had to pack for the retreat - and then I was off to get Jan from the Jacksonville Airport!

We made it home - took a potty break and then we were off to Savannah for dinner at Lady and Son's!!! Oh man oh man.... good thing I didn't eat lunch yesterday - I think I got my monthly intake of butter in one sitting!! Bahahaha!!!!! Anyway - I drove her around for a little tour and then it was back to my house......

I finally got finished getting packed up - and Jan hit the hay.... so finally I am here - talking to you!!!

Can anyone loan me.....

Some time?!?!? I swear there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day!!!! I have been running like a chicken with my head cut off (and yes for those of you who have never lived on a farm - chickens with NO HEAD can still run!!! LOL)

Yesterday was spent waxing my car and cleaning the interior and I also shampooed my carpets with my new carpet cleaner!!! Man - if you are in the market for a carpet cleaner - I TOTALLY recommend the Hoover Steam Vac.... I rented a rug doctor back in Oct and did my carpets and I swear they looked dirty now than they did before I cleaned them back then... so I did some research and low and behold I found out that if you don't "rinse" your carpets after cleaning them that the soap left behind actually attracts more dirt after being cleaned!!! Who knew!!!

So the carpet cleaner I purchased has a rinse switch. Man - this thing ROCKS!!! It got stains out of my carpet that had been there before I even cleaned it with the rug doctor! (Which that machine didn't get out!!) So all in all - I give this baby a TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

You know - I got to thinking about the whole "cleaning" thing - and my revelation the other day (Thanks to Chris!!!).... and you know I think I clean so much cause being an Army wife - there are so many things I can't control - I can't control the military, I can't control if hubby is home or not - but at least I can control my house!!!! At least that is my story and I am sticking to it!!!!

Finally - as you all know - today is WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY.... and I swore I wasn't going to weigh in today - see I had taco's last night at my good friend Susan's house.... and I ATE WAY WAY WAY too much!!! Not only did I have tacos (man - I don't even like Mexican food - but these things are the bomb!!!!) but I also had jalapeno poppers and a big ole piece of chocolate pie!!!! But..... I went ahead and weighed in anyway - and today I was at 197 lb! So I am finally back to were I was before hubby came home.... Hopefully I will not cheat toooo much this weekend and stay on track!!!

Speaking of this weekend!!! The Paperthread Retreat is almost here!!! Whooo hooooo!!! I actually go and pick Jan (of Sam and Hailey Designs) up tomorrow from the airport - and then we head to Charleston on Friday to meet up with everyone else!!!! I am soooo excited!!!!

Since I was going to be away this weekend - and since Michelle was going to be with us - I (along with several other designers) decided to have a "While the Cat's Away the Mice will Play" Sale.... yep - that's right - ALL MY FILES WILL BE 30% off this Friday though Sunday!!! Rude awaking...

Hi there all you blog readers out in cyber land..... sorry I have been MIA....

It has been a really busy couple of days! On Saturday I went to lunch with one of my friends, then we went to get pedicures - and then we went to a movie! It was pretty late when I got home. Then on Sunday I went to my next door neighbors house for dinner and to watch the NASCAR race!!!

In between all of that - I have been spring cleaning!!! I have been cleaning my baseboards, my ceiling fans and I even went out and purchased a carpet cleaner so I can clean my rugs!!! Not to mention I have gotten four big huge boxes together of "stuff" to sell at a garage sale I plan to have SOON!!!!

But the funny thing is I kind of had a rude awaking today... Last night hubby was able to finally call home and touch base. So I told him I had been cleaning and that I had taken a ton of stuff up into the attic and that I had gone out and purchased the carpet cleaner! His comment was, "Well that's good. Once you get everything all cleaned up you will feel better... it is good to know you are moving and shaking and getting stuff done."

Now I thought this was a really strange comment - but I didn't dwell on it.... then today I was talking to my friend Chris on the phone... and she had said that her hubby had asked how I was doing with my hubby being gone.... and Chris said she had told her hubby that she was sure I was probably cleaning! That I cleaned when I was stressed!!! Of course she said his reply was why couldn't he had gotten a wife that cleans when stressed!!!! Bahahahaha!!! But I have to tell you when I hung up with her - I was shocked!!! I was like - DO I REALLY clean when I am stressed?!?!?!? Surely not......

So I called my BFF in FL - and I was like "Tracy - Do I clean when I am stressed?" To which she replied - I would think that you would... I haven't ever seen that side of you - but I would totally assume that since you are such a neat freak!!! I was like what??? A neat freak???? ME?!?!?!?!

To which she replied - "Uh... yeah... most people don't actually clean their baseboards - they talk about they need to - but normally they don't do it... and if they do actually do it - they only do it once every year or so!!!!!"

I was flabbergasted!!! I wouldn't have thought I was a neat freak, nor would I have assumed or even realized that when I am stressed I clean!!!! Who knew!!!

Anyway - I guess that is it for me today - It is a gorgeous 85 degrees here to day and I am off to wash my car!!! (Crap - Is that considered cleaning?!?!?!)
