Prayers...

I know I haven't been around well at all lately... but as you know my hubby has made it back from Afghanistan and I have decided to take time to spend with him.....

I think most of you know as well, that hubby was informed the week he was traveling back from Afghanistan that due to budget cuts he did not have a job to come home to.... yeah, swell huh? If it had been a civilian job by law they have to provide him with his job. But since it was a government job they don't have to follow the same rules/regulations.... Imagine that...

Anyway - hubby is job searching and we had thought there was a good possibility that he could possibly get a job here at Ft Stewart... well today that job has been taken off the table.

So..... that means as it stand right now, there is a good chance that hubby will either have to go overseas again, or that we will have to try and sell our house and move, or that he may have to live in one state and I will be living in another... Needless to say - I don't like any of these options.....

Therefore, if you are the praying type - please add us to your prayer list. We REALLY would like a job here at Ft Stewart that would allow us to stay here together and in our home that we built - but ultimately we want to follow God's plan for us...

I would appreciate it more than you know!

Ok - other that that - we are taking next week to spend with family - and I plan to be back in full swing, blogging and designing on May 1st!!!

Until Next Time!

Cya~

well that just SUCKS!! I am praying that all will work out for you and Hubby. I still am in shock that a country could treat someone, who was willing to put his life on the line for all of us, so badly!

I am so sorry to hear of all the tough battles you two are facing. Hang in there. God always opens a window when He closes a door but sometimes I myself wonder WHERE the open window is. I will add you to my prayers and don't hurry back for us. We can take care of ourselves for awhile. Your husband and you need each other for awhile.

Of course you and dh are in my prayers. God will plant you where ever He knows you belong and hopefully it's right where you are now.

Lori, I can't believe our government would do this to your husband. Have you ever thought of writing your congressman? I think those in our government need to know this happens. This should not happen to a guy who puts his life on the line for his country! I will be praying for you and hoping you will not have to leave your home.

Lori, My eyes teared up reading your blog. I just can't understand this government of ours. All the men and women should be assured a job after military, no matter what job (government or private sector)he held before serving his country. My thought and prayers go out to you and your family. I don't know if writing to a Congressman or Senator would help...they seem to be worried about their own agendas. But hope that things will work out for you.
