So here we go....

Another crazy day here at Beloved Keepsakes. I have to go drop off my ball gown to have it hemmed up. (Being short is a pain!!!) Yep it's that time again - Military Ball time... I have to say I was very very very lucky this time around though when it comes to my dress!

I pretty much had resolved myself to the fact I would just wear one of the many dresses I already have. Now see hubby and I have this argument all the time - he says no one remembers what you wore last year or the year before - so who cares?!?!? I say all my photos start looking alike so I care!! LOL Anyway - on a whim I had hubby stop into David's Bridal to see if they had anything good in the clearance sections (I mean we are less than two weeks away from the event so needless to say there is NO time to order a dress, plus who wants to pay full price?!?!)

So I went in and low and behold there was a dress that was in my size that I actually kind of liked! I put it on and hubby REALLY liked it (and it only would need some minor alterations - the hem and a little tuck at the top). Of course it didn't have a price tag on it - so up to the front I went... Low and behold the dress was only $79!!! I was like I'll take it!!!! (Who finds a dress for less than $100 now days, well unless you are a size 6 - which I am NOT!!)

Hubby was shocked - the first dress I picked up, it fit and it was on sale for 50% - oh and the best part - it ISN'T BLACK!!!!! Shocking!!! I know!!! Believe it or not it is "cornflower" blue... and while this normally isn't a color I would choose, I'm saying it is more "infantry" blue to me and will match hubby's dress blues perfectly!! Whoooo Hoooo!!!

To top it off - I have some cute silver high heel sandals and just like that - "Ball" shopping is done!

Here is the website photo of the dress - just picture it about ten sizes bigger!!! Bahaaha!!!

Thus I am off to get it hemmed and tucked (I can't stand women who pull up on top of their strapless dresses all night! Much less stand to be that women! Bahaha!).

Hope you all have a GREAT day - and I will catch ya later!

Until Next Time!

Cya~
