Working like a dog...

If you are wondering where I have been.... well the title of this post says it all!!! I have been working like a dog!!!

See it all started back in Oct when my dear MIL "inherited" some moola that she wasn't expecting!!! She (being the awesome person that she is) decided to share said inheritance with all us kids and sent us a check and told us to purchase something with the money that we would normally never purchase for our selves, but to make sure it was something we REALLY wanted...

Well I had been lusting after this all stone wall water fountain for about three or four years at this store in our local mall. But the fountain was $795!!! No way was I going to pay that for it!!! So while hubby was home from Afghanistan on his midtour leave in Oct, we went in and he talked the owner into selling us said fountain for $320!!! Whoo Hooooo!!! Needless to say, the fountain came home with us and has been sitting in the garage ever since!

Being the design type person I am, I had visualized a whole layout and landscape to complement said fountain. To include all new plants, about 1/2 of ton of river rocks and what have you (aka a huge amount of work!!!)

So two days ago I FINALLY talked hubby into starting the project - and hence I have been working like a dog ever since!!

I think we will get the actually fountain installed today!! Yippppeeeee!!! (Plants are going to probably have to wait until next week)....

So that's where I have been, pulling up roots, digging holes, and shoveling rock!!!! I promise to post photos next week!!! Meanwhile, back to work I go!!

Oh, I forgot to mention - that not only have I been working like a dog in my yard, but I also got 8 new files loaded in the store this week!!! This include the "Footprints" design I posted last week!!

Make sure you pop in and check them out!!

Hope you all have an AWESOME weekend!

Until Next Time!

Tone Ups...

So I have decided that I want a pair of Tone Up Tennis shoes... Hmm I think they are also called Rocker Sole Shoes... Anyone know what I am talking about???

Hubby and I have decided we are going to try to start walking every evening together - and I figure hey - if I am actually going to get out there and walk - I might as well make the most of that time as I can - right??!! LOL

I have a couple of pairs of "FitFlops" which I LOVE!! But now I want a walking shoe with the same concept.... but man!!! There are soooo many of them out there... how do you choose???

I have seen the Earth Exer-Walk, the Skechers Shape-Ups, the MBT Foras (but who can afford $245 for a pair of shoes?!?!!), the Avia I-Shape, and the Reebok EasyTones. Oh and I tried on a pair of ExerSteps Selection Toning Shoes at Bass Pro but the fit was funky!!

So... Does anyone out there have a pair of toning shoes?? That you use for walking! That you love and that you think actually help you tone and burn more calories???? I would love to hear about them!!!

Until Next Time!

Where does the time....

go?!?!? Like seriously?? Is it just me? I had the best intentions to blog yesterday - and then the next thing I know, the day is gone, I didn't blog (nor did I get done half the things I thought I would have gotten done) and here it is already Tue!!! Surely this isn't just me!!!!

Not to mention it was one of those days where EVERTHING goes wrong!!!!

Anywhoo... I hope you all had a GREAT Weekend!!! I know it was a very emotional one for me - but very rewarding. We attend the "Some Gave All 5K Run" in honor of an amazing soldier who lost his life in Afghanistan. It was awesome - there were over 600 runners/walkers present for the event.

I got to spend time with this soldiers amazing wife. She is such a strong person. I am in awe of her bravery, her sacrifice and her commitment to keeping her husband's memory alive. I have to tell you that one of the more emotional times of the weekend was when I presented this wife with a custom made photo bracelet that I made especially for her. She was so touched and she LOVED it!!! It was such a small thing that I felt like I could do - but it was a huge thing to her and that was just incredible.

Another touching moment from the weekend was when this wife took me aside and asked me if Andrew had been by the grave site yet? To which I replied no. She asked me did I think he was ready to go? I was torn up - how incredibly sensitive was this women to want to know if my hubby was ready to go say goodbye to one of his closest friends. Wow...

All in all it was an emotionally hard weekend - but one that I will never forget!

I feel so blessed that there are people, places and events in my life that have the ability to touch me, inspire me and make me a better person.... Hmm - I know that sounds kind of crazy - but truly I find it awe inspiring!!!

Ok - enough about my weekend!!! I hope you all had a great one! So now on to the this week!!!

I have several great announcements coming up this week - so make sure you check back often - and I promise to try not to let time fly on by!!!

Until Next Time!
