Thank Gosh its Friday...

Not that Friday is any different than any other day here at the McDonald household - but hey!!!

I swear ya'll, I just don't know where the time goes!!! Last thing I knew it was 8 AM - I had just gotten up... at 9 AM I headed to water aerobics (and man I have done something to my ankle, not sure what but something! And enough of something that it prompted me to order a pair of water aerobic shoes online!!!) Then I came home and I have been going non stop since!

As a matter of fact I have downloaded and tested an embroidery lettering program - which was driving me up the wall - UNTIL - I realized it was MY stupid error that was causing the problem! Sheesh!!!! Don't you hate that - user error!! Man!

Hmmmm - speaking of embroidery programs - I am looking for a lettering program - anyone have one out there that they really really love??? If so give me a holler! Man you think cutter machine software is expensive??? You should see the price of some of this embroidery software! Insane!!!

Then I have been working on getting some new files up at the Paperthreads store!!! I have about 40 to get up as a matter of fact but I have to do the SVG conversions and get the text docs done!! Whaaaa..... why oh why do I let myself get soooo far behind???

Then if that wasn't horrible enough, I missed a call from my hubby!!! I know, I know - it totally sucks!!! His calls are soooo few and far apart here lately - and he called on my cell phone -well I had just happened to take that moment to go to the bathroom and I didn't take my cell with me! I mean I am at hom, I didn't think I needed to carry it.... and low and behold - missed his call!

And then - I just looked at the clock and it is 2:30 PM - how the heck did that happen?!?!?!

Ok here is a peek of the last file I uploaded to the Scrapbooking, Cards and More membership - this was actually file number 22!!! (That's a pretty darn good deal - 22 files for $10 and I actually have a few more file to go!!)

Hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Until Next Time!

Kudo's to "CBS's Sunday Morning"!!!

*** PLEASE NOTE - today's blog rant/rave is about my frustrations as a military wife. If you came here for scrapbooking or for a feel good story - you might want to skip today's post! I'll be back on track tomorrow! I promise!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The CBS Evening News may have only devoted 13 seconds on Tuesday June 25th to the deaths of seven soldiers in Afghanistan -- as Katie Couric anchored from the Staples Center the night before the Michael Jackson memorial -- and just 15 seconds Wednesday night to their caskets arriving back in the U.S., but the producers of "CBS's Sunday Morning" should be commended, no applauded for giving Martha Gillis, the aunt of Army Lieutenant Brian Bradshaw killed in Afghanistan the same day Jackson died, an “opinion” segment on their show.

Mrs Gillis conveyed the frustration of military families over the media's misplaced priorities. But I have to tell you I personally don't think it it is just the media but Americans in general!

Watch CBS Videos Online

And while I am not going to get on a public tirade about Michael Jackson and how I feel society as a whole is pretty screwed up to be so enamored and so devastate by the dealth of a suppose child molester....

I do feel compelled to say that I feel this county is in a sad state when the very soldiers who are fighting and giving up their lives so that we have the freedom to even listen to musical celebrates are not given the honor and dignity that they deserve!

So kudos to "CBS's Sunday Morning" for allowing this extremelly brave lady to call out the media, to call out Americans on their tack, on their ungratefulness, on their own self centerness!!

Make sure you thank a soldier or their family! And please remember to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can live in this country and enjoy the freedoms that we do!!!

Until Next Time~

Man where does the time go?!?!

Am I the only one having this problem? I blog on Monday, I get so busy I can't even tell you where Tuesday went and now here it is Wed!!! Sheesh!!!!

I have been really busy finishing up the files for the Scrapbooking, Cards and More membership! As of today there are 20 files available for download - and in just a moment I will be putting up file number 21!!! This is the LAST week to join!!! So if you want to get these 20+++ files for $10 you need to go and sign up RIGHT NOW!!!

Here are the photos of the last two files that I have uploaded to the membership:

And here is a sneak peek of the file I am going to upload by the end of the day!!!

So if you like these files and you don't want to pay full price - you better get on over to Paperthreads and join the membership NOW!!! Time is soo running out!!! (To see all 21 files already uploaded see the slide show on the right hand of this page!!)

Now in addition to finishing up the files for the membership club, I also finished my first "embroidery for hire" project! While I was in AZ I purchased an Embroidery machine (yep this is one of the new machines I purchased for the next phase of Beloved Keepsakes)! Well my next door neighbor Melissa is fixin' to be an Aunt to twin baby girls! So I embroidered these cute little burp cloths with the baby's name and a cute flower in the colors of the nursery!

I think that they came out really really cute!!!

Then here are two other cute projects I finished up - this is a little stuffed crab that I purchased when I was out shopping with Chris in AZ! I added a little sign to his claw that said "I'm crabby without you, come home soon!" and sent it to the hubs overseas!

And finally - Hubby had asked for a new pillow case - so instead of sending him just any old pillow case I put this one together and sent it over!

I used the Plaid "Me and my Peeps" iron ons along with a fabric pen to add the title "Our Family" along with our names and "we miss you".... I even included the dogs!

Here is a close up:

Well I think that is about it - I am off to finish the final conversions for the membership - don't forget if you want to join this is THE LAST WEEK!!! And then I am off to learn a new computer software for my embroidery machine!

Hope you have a HAPPY HUMP DAY - oh HUMP DAY... its also weigh in Wed!! I almost forgot!!! I weighted 182 lbs this morning for a grand total of 32 lbs LOST!!! I went to water aerobics all three days last week - and I went on Monday and also today already this week! I have 37 more pounds to reach my goal! So not too shabby!

Ok - that's really it - have a great day and I'll catch ya tomorrow!!

Until Next Time!

Happy Monday!!!

I hope you all had a GREAT weekend!! Man I know I did - but it was extremely busy!!! I mean like crazy mad busy!! LOL

On Friday afternoon I finished pricing all the stuff for my garage sale and stacked it all out in the garage to make it easier to get it all out on Sat. Then I went to dinner with my neighbors - so that was a lot of fun!

On Saturday my day started out at 6 AM!!! Which for those of you who know me - you know that 6 AM is really FREAKING early for me!!! LOL

Let me tell you - I knew I had a lot of stuff for my garage sale! But I didn't realize HOW MUCH stuff it really was until we got it all spread out in the drive way! MAN!!! But I am very happy to report that I made $376.75 at the garage sale and my neighbor who had set her stuff up with mine made $379!!! So all in all it was a great haul!!!

And to make it even better my neighbors from down the road came by in their pick up truck and loaded up all the stuff I didn't sell and hauled it off to Goodwill for me!! How awesome was that!!!! So I feel so much more relaxed and free with all that "stuff" gone!

Now there was two kind of large items I didn't sell - one being the weights and weigh bench that are in the garage and the other being a sewing machine in a wood cabinet - but I have had someone for each item tell me that they are interested in getting them at the end of the month! So we shall see!!

Then yesterday I spent the WHOLE day designing cutting files!! The Scrapbooking, Cards and More membership is fastly coming to an end! So I had a few files I wanted to finish up for that (maybe I will give you a sneak peek tomorrow!!).

As for today - well I have already gone to water aerobics, the grocery store and I even have gotten to speak to my hubby!!! (Oh happy day!!!) Speaking of hubby - I had two different really great friends on Facebook post some photos of hubby in Afghanistan.... so I thought I would share those with you!!!

(My friend Jen sent me this photo - this is my hubby with her hubby Matt. I think her husband went up to mine and said "Sir, I need to take your photo - you wife is offering good money for pictures of you!" Bahahaha)

Hope you all have a GREAT Monday! And I'll catch you later!

Until Next Time!
