A crazy week....

Wheew... Sorry folks! It has been a CRAZY week!!! I just sat down and thought, man I didn't blog yesterday - imagine my surprise when I sat down and saw the last time I actually blogged was TUESDAY!!!! Time flies... well time flies in some ways and in others it really creeps by!!!

So a few things to share - first of all I went to see the orthopedic surgeon yesterday... he thinks my progress is good and I can start weaning off the cast, but he wants me to take about two and a half weeks until I am completely out. I was out of the cast and walking around my house for about three hours yesterday and it was sore. I have been out of it about an hour today - so far not tooo bad... so we will take it slow. He still wants me to wear the cast if I am out in public or if the weather is bad. He did agree to let me go to PT twice a week and then I go back to see him on the 19th. Hopefully he will release me then (at least until it is time to have surgery on my other foot!!)...

Then I am not sure how many of you keep up with the news - and more specifically the news in Afghanistan - but yesterday it was announced that the Shinwari tribe signed a treaty to kick the Taliban out of their area of Afghanistan and in exchange the US military will give the tribe funds to help redevelop their area! Well that was OUR unit that made that happen!!! How freaking awesome is that!!! This potentially has the ability to change the whole war in Afghanistan!!! You can read more about it HERE in the Washington Post!

I guess when all this went down there were a ton of reporters/photographers around and one of them snapped this photo of my hubby!!!!

(Don't forget you can click on the photo to get a larger view!)

I have to say it is pretty freaking cool!!! (I soo soo soo love this man!!! Not much longer until he is home again!)

Alrighty - at the first part of the week I said I had an announcement for all you cutter people out there! So here it is.... Over at VDBC we have been offering a monthly "Grab Bag"! And I am super excited to tell you I'm one of the feature designers in February's Grab Bag!!! Whooo Hoooo!!!! Pretty exciting!!!

Hang in there and take care of yourself.
Great to hear about your hubby. May God bless them all with success as they work on building strong partnerships.
