I promise you I haven't been ignoring you guys! I am 110% plain out sick! Yep - I have a full blown case of the flu!!!! I am totally miserable and I swear someone shooting me today looks like the only way I might feel better....
And if that wasn't bad enough - the step children arrive tomorrow.... (this is where you here dum dum dummmmm!!! You know the music from the movies? Or maybe I am just hearing it in my head cause my head is all stopped up??!!!)
Now don't get me wrong - my step children are great (for the most part) but when you are use to living in a house with NO kids - and all of sudden you have TWO kids - the noise level quadruples. (Not sure how that happens - but I swear it does.) And no longer am I just picking up, cleaning, cooking and feeding the hubby but now there are three of them.... It is a huge adjustment for me... it really is!
And I feel like crap....
And I need to go to the grocery store...
And I need to clean up the guest rooms and make the beds...
And I need to bath the dogs...
I think I will go back to bed! But before I go.... don't forget...
I will be hit and miss for the next two weeks.... at which time I put the kids on a plane to head back home and I put hubby on a plane heading to some military thing.... (Yes that's right - I go to full house to empty house - just like that!! Oh yeah!!!)
Also - don't forget my BIG sale I am having on the 14th though the 16th - to celebrate Chris's Birthday!!!!
All my files will be 30% off!!!
I guess I'll see you when I see you!!
Until Next Time!

I was afraid you were sick. Sure hope you get to feeling better. I know what you mean about the adjustment from just you and DH to a houseful, so I feel for you girl! We went from just me and Dh to a family of 5 overnight. My SIL and his family have moved in with us. Take care of yourself and don't worry too much about the house. Kids don't notice things like that as much as we do.

Lori I am so sorry you are feeling bad still. How about looking at it this way... your step children are coming in to take care of you so you can get better. Just switch roles until you get well. The chores can wait... until the kids are here to do them for you that is, yea that will work. Seriously, I wish you very well, VERY soon. But let them finish the chores before you let them know you are feeling better. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Lori! So sorry to hear you're so sick. YUCK!!! Well, I would rest and try to get the most quiet time as possible before the kids come. I'm sure the house is already picked up enough and if it isn't, ask for their help! Good luck! I'll be thinking about you! XOXO, Lynn
