Joke..... (I hope no one is offended!!!)

My five-year old students are learning to read.

Yesterday one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said, 'Look at this! It's a frickin' elephant!'

I took a deep breath, then asked...'What did you call it?' 'It's a frickin' elephant! It says so on the picture!'

And so it does...

So one of my fellow designers (who I will not call by name - but you can go to her blog HERE - Bahahaha) sent me this cute email joke (above).... and after I read it - I emailed her back and said, "Well that must mean that my hubby is "a frickin' Husband", huh??? (For those who don't already know it - my husband is actually from Africa! Yep, third generation at that!!!)

To which she replied - "I had no clue - but I dare you to blog about it!"... and you know me - I never turn down a dare!!!

Then as you all know (from an earlier post) I love love love Sarah Palin!!! And my dear design team member "Bec" sent me several Palin ads. These were my two favorites and I just had to share!!!

Meanwhile I am working on some changes at Beloved Keepsakes - and I have a ton of new stuff to hit Paperthreads soon!!!

I have people thank me and my husband all the time for what we do. For the things that we sacrifice... For the things we endure... For the things we give up, we miss, we do as a military family....

And all I can say today - on all days - this is WHY we do what we do.....

Hmmmm..... PAPER!!!

There are few things in life that make me quite as happy as paper does! I know, I know - sounds insane - but it is soooo true!! I love love love paper! For as long as I can remember I have loved paper.... from the little colored notepads, to sticky notes and even stationary- ah - Paper makes my heart sing.....

Now that I am older - I still love paper of all kinds -but of course I am drawn more and more and more to SCRAPBOOKING PAPER (of course). And yes, before you ask - I have tons and tons and tons of it!!! If you are nice - maybe I will share my paper collection with you one day!!! Bahahaha!!

I think the paper is one of the reasons I got hooked on scrapbooking to begin with!!! (Ok - just one of the reasons.) And when I think of scrapbooking paper - there are a few different brands that just make my heart sing!!! But I have to say first and for most I think Basic Grey has to be my ALLLLLLLL time favorite paper out there!! It is just YUMMY!!!!

Now - don't get my wrong - I don't like ALL their paper - some if it is way to freaky out there for me.... but the ones that I do like - OH do I LIKE them...... So image if you will how I felt this morning when I opened up my email and I had this waiting on me!!!!

Christmas???

Am I the only person in the world that is soooo ummm - annal - that they start thinking about Christmas presents in Sept??? I know, I know... I must be ODC!!! But I am already thinking about Christmas...

I love love love to make as many of my Christmas gifts as I can... when ever I can. But this year I am having a hard time coming up with something good! And I mean real good!

Last year I made the photo stars for most of our family and friends... this year, well this year I am clueless!

Got any good ideas??? I would LOVE to hear them! Come on - help a girl out!!! And hey if you send me a photo of your project I'd even be willing to post it here on my blog!!!!

Ok - got to run - hubby has a business trip and of course he needs help packing!!!
