Whooo hoooooo....
It's Friday!!!! Whoooo hoooooo!!! It's Friday!!!! And I have to say I am soooo looking forward to spending the weekend with my hubby!!! This week has been kind of crazy for both of us, he has come home pretty much late every night this week. Then when he gets home he is nothing but tired - so he eats dinner, lays on the sofa, falls asleep, gets up and then goes to bed! So it will be nice to be able to reconnect!
I thought today - I would share my crafting room re-do with you!!!
Here in the rental house there is a "bonus" room. The owners of the house used it as a guest bedroom. Well you know me - I have to have a studio to work in.... and since there are two other "guest rooms" in this house - the bonus room became my new "studio"!!!
Now you are probably wondering why do I call it a studio?!?! Well since this room was sooo much larger than the room I had in our house in Savannah, I was able to create not only a scrapping/designing area, but I was also able to create a "sewing" area as well!!! Yipppeeee!!! Yep that's right, I no longer have to put up all the scrapping stuff to get out all the sewing stuff, and I no longer have to put up all the sewing stuff to get out all the scrapping stuff!! SWEET!!!!
So here is the bonus room when the owners of the house lived here -
And here is the new and improved "Studio" - (remember you can always click on a photo to get a bigger view!!)
This is the scrapping side -
And this is the sewing/storage side -
Can I tell you I just love love love my space!!!! The only bad thing is that it is upstairs - so it is a little hard to be able to work and get dinner ready.... but over all - I can honestly say this space makes me happy!!!!
And speaking of HAPPY are a few of the items in my studio that really make my heart sing -
My laptop/printing/cutting station!!
My "Army Wife Mrs Clause" that my mother made me!!! How awesome is she?!?!?
My Inspirational Layouts (I switch these out from time to time!!) -
My re-purposed sewing chair!!! (This was my granny's old sewing chair that was passed down to my mother and then passed down to me!! I wish I had taken a before photo - but it was a beat up brown wood with a pretty ugly pillow covering. I painted it white and used the fabric I have used for everything else in my studio to recover it!!)
My Ribbon Jar's!!! I have tried a lot of different ribbon storage and this one really works well for me - plus it is pretty!!
My "Scentsy" warmer that my sister in law gave me!!!
And the shelf that holds my "God Parents Tile", my old china doll, my FRG plaque (one of the HARDEST jobs in the Army) and then my Richard Petty Driving school certificate (where I drove on the Daytona 500 Speedway at 153 miles per hour!!! Whoooo hoooo!!)
Can I just tell you I love love love my studio!!!! (I have to admit I kind of dread the thought of going to a smaller space down the road!!!)
Hope you enjoyed peeking in on my designing area!!! And I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!!! Make sure you take time out for you and your family!!!
Until Next Time!
