Out of the Loop....

I am soooo sorry I have been out of the loop this past week. I never knew that just sitting in a hospital 8 to 10 hours a day is soooo exhausting!!! And I mean really really exhausting!!!! No internet in the hospital - and then when I would get to the hotel I was buggered!!!

Things have been going pretty well with my father in law they were saying that he might actually get to come home on Sunday or Monday.... but then last night he had a little bit of trouble with being off the suction - so now that prison break date has been pushed back. So my mother in law and myself are at her home. I'm packing up all my goodies so I can ship what I need to back home. Then we are heading back to the hospital tomorrow until my father in law is released -when ever that may be.

I am heading back to GA week after next and hopefully will be back in the swing of things by Friday the 26th of June. If you are trying to access the Beloved Keepsakes website - we are in the process of migrating over to a new server and it looks like it is going to be down for a few days. I will keep you posted as that moves along! But it is an exciting new change - especially with the newest division of Beloved Keepsakes opening soon!!!! (I'll give you a hint - I have purchased TWO new special machines to assist in making new store items!!!)

Other than that - I am just praying for the families of our unit who are facing the funerals of our fallen hero's. One of the funerals was yesterday - the other two are today. I am heart sick that I am not in GA to attend these funerals. But at the same time I am thankful that I am not having to watch our warriors be laid to rest - and thus I am guilty and heart sick that I feel that I even feel that way.

Maj. Kevin M. Jenrette, 37, of Lula, Ga., Staff Sgt. John C. Beale, 39, of Riverdale, Ga., and Spc. Jeffrey W. Jordan, 21, of Rome, Ga.

Please I ask that you keep these families in your prayers as well as all our soliders who still have to go out and fight the fight in spite of losing three of their very own.

I will check in again when I get I chance!

Until Next Time!

Cya~

Three Georgia Army National Guard Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 108th Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA) Squadron currently supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan were killed on Thursday, June 4. It's a heartbreaking loss the Georgia National Guard.

Three soldiers from the same squad killed in Afghanistan on Thursday.Maj. Kevin M. Jenrette, 37, of Lula, Ga., Staff Sgt. John C. Beale, 39, of Riverdale, Ga., and Spc. Jeffrey W. Jordan, 21, of Rome, Ga. died near Kapisa, Afghanistan of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device and small arms fire.

FOX 5 profiled the squadron last month as they trained in Shelby, Mississippi. Beale, Jenrette and Jordan had all undergone the same specialized training.

Georgia's Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement upon notification of the death of the three Georgia Army National Guardsmen.

"Today's news that Major Kevin Jenrette, SSG John Beale and SPC Jeffrey Jordan died serving in Afghanistan is a sobering reminder of the dangers our citizen soldiers face there everyday. I know the families' of these Guardsmen have broken hearts and though we can not comprehend the loss they are feeling, Mary and I join them in mourning. I have personally visited with our troops both here and over seas and I am always deeply moved by their dedication to serve others. These men and women go where they are asked on a moment's notice, leaving behind families and communities that miss them dearly. It is our responsibly to do all that we can to comfort these families and all of the families with a loved one in the line of duty."

"The recent death of three Georgia Guardsman is very traumatic to our Georgia National Guard family," said Maj. Gen. Terry Nesbitt, Georgia's Adjutant General. "Their deaths occurring so early in the deployment of the 48th Brigade underscores the very real challenges facing our Soldiers and the inherent risks of the mission. We extend our heartfelt condolences and support to the families of these brave Guardsmen."
