Got to LOVE the internet!!!

So last night was hubby's night out with the "boys"! One of our dear friends is heading back to the "sandbox" in the next few weeks so the boys decided to have one more night of drinking beer and telling war stories! I say - More power to them!!! This left me with a free night of watching MY favorite TV Shows!!! Whoooo Hooooo!!!!

For those of you that don't know it - I am a reality tv junkie!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE reality tv!!!! From Survivor, to American Idol, Trump's Apprentice, to Project Runway and Hells Kitchen. I love them all!!

So what BETTER night to be left at home alone but a Thursday night!!! First night of the NEW session of Survivor (the fans vs the favorites) and Celeberaty Apprentice plus I had a recorded Wed's night new Project Runway and I had Paradise Hotel 2 recorded as well!!

Seven o’clock and I was done with dinner, done with my bath and kicked back on the sofa with the dog ready to get in some good uninterrupted TV time. First it was Project Runway!!! I love this show… and this week’s task was to make an outfit for the female wrestlers of WWE! Wheew!! All my favorites where still around at the end of the show….

Now it is Eight o’clock – The NEW SURIVOR! Whoo Hoo – they are in Micronesia – it is absolutely beautiful!!!! Some of my past favorites are back and I am loving it… and then…

There was an explosion at a local sugar refiner here in the local Savannah area… people heard the boom for several miles…. It was bad!! I mean really bad…. So now the next four hours are spent watching “live coverage” of the site. They had to set up trauma and triage for the workers – ambulances from surrounding counties came to transport patients to local hospitals. Med Star and Med Flight carried burned patients to other hospitals in the region… As of this morning there are still six people missing and the fire is still not out.

So in the face of this true-life reality all my reality TV shows were interrupted.

Now while my prayers go out to these families and this workers… along with my heartfelt concern and well wishes of speedy recovery I have to admit I was really quite bummed that I was missing my favorite TV shows. I know... I know… that make me somewhat kind of shallow! I realize that and I am not so very happy about the realization of this personal fault!!! I am very blessed to have family and loved ones, a place to live, and luxuries that most people don’t have… and I KNOW that and I am VERY thankful for those…. (So please no nasty comments ok?!)

But I did miss my favorite TV shows… and while that is nowhere and I truly mean NOWHERE as traumatic as those who are missing loved ones… I was kind of bummed!

Then today - I realized I could watch my favorite programs ONLINE!!! Yep! I kid you NOT! Missed an episode of Survivor? You can watch it online – in FULL!! Miss an episode of Celebrity Apprentice? You can watch that online too!! The whole thing from start to finish!!!

So that got me to thinking – You just got to LOVE Internet!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend doing things that you love… remember life is really short and you NEVER know what might be right around the corner! Take time out to enjoy life and tell those that you love – that you love them!!!

Until Next Time!

So I forgot to tell you...

I think I have finally got hubby trained to be the husband of a scrapbooker!!! LOL Now while he wouldn't let me take a photo of the Jeep stuck in the mud (yes I am still annoyed over that one!!!!).... I have to tell you what he did the day of my surgery!!!

So I go into have my gallbladder removed... joy of all joy! This is the surgery that got canceled the week before becuase I was soooo sick. Now I probably should go back and let you know that I had to have my gallbladder removed because I had a HUGE gallstone (I mean huge - 9MM by 17MM)....

So I go in for the second time to have my gallbladder removed and of course they are running way behind on this day..... so we wait and we wait.... Finally they take me back to the OR....

Well when I finally come out of the OR and recovery and they take me to meet back up with hubby he is BEAMING ear to ear! I am like is everything ok?!?! And he was like yeah - it went well! As a matter of fact - the DR came out and she had this sheet of photos! She showed me where your gallbladder was and the two ducts they had to cut to get it out, then there was this photo where they removed the gallbladder and all you can see is where it use to be next to your liver - and then there was a photo of your gallbladder in a bowl to show it had been removed and then - you won't believe this one - there was a photo of your gallbladder cut open and you can see the stone inside!!! IT WAS HUGE!!!!

At this point - I looked at him like he had a horn growing out of his forhead! And then replied the only thing I could think of, "Oh, that's nice honey!" (For those who know me - I am not a gushy bloody health person! That stuff is disgusting!!! You will NEVER find me watching surgeries on the Discovery channel - NEVER!! And as a matter of fact - my parents were totally FLOORED when I told them I had taken a job at the local hospital years ago!! I don't do blood and guts!!! GROSS!)...

Then hubby dropped the kicker - He said: "I asked the DR if I could keep the photos and she said YES!" I look at him like he is INSANE - maybe the drugs are playing with my head - you know what I mean?!?!? And then I said - "Why did you want to keep them?" And he replied - "I thought you could scrapbook them!!!!" (Said while he is still beaming ear to ear!!!)

So here I am - now in a quandry... I personally have no desire to scrap my "internal parts"! But I don't want to hurt hubby's feelings as he is quite proud of what he was able to snag on our scrapbook's behalf!! LOL

Now the search begins for the perfect title.... Have any suggestions?? I would LOVE to hear them.... All I have been able to come up with so far is - The Gall?? Bladder!!

Until Next Time!

PS - let me go ahead and say I am sooo sorry for any mis-spellings!! For some reason my blogger spell check is NOT working!!! And I can't spell worth crap!!! I mean really - I can't spell!!! LOL

Returning to the living....

Well here it is Tuesday Feb 5th - wow! I have misssed like a WHOLE week!!! That is just not normal for me.....

Update - I had surgery on Thurday - all went well for the most part - they were suppose to do the surgery at 8 AM but for whatever reason I didn't get back into the OR until Noon.... That means I didn't get home until late Thursday afternoon. Friday was a little rough - they were able to do the surgery laposcopically (spell??) so I have four different incisions sites.... and they were quite painful especially when trying to get up or down!!!!

Sat went ok - for the most part I felt pretty good - and then Sunday I woke up with a terrible rash!!!! I mean itchy scratchy red and yucky!!!! Then yesterday - I woke up feeling like I was going to throw up and had kind of like acid reflux stuff going on - and the rash was still here! (I know to much information!!!) Called the Dr and of course she wanted me to come in.... so yesterday was pretty much spent at the hospital - the whole day!!!

She ran several test and everything is looking ok - so maybe a virus of some kind?? And the rash?? Well looks like I am allergic to the stuff they clean your surgery site with!! Hmmm - only me!!!!

I went to bed last night at 8:30 PM - yep you read that right - 8:30 PM and I didn't get up til 10 AM this morning!!!! WOW - 13 1/2 hours sleep!! Crazy!!!!

I think I will take it easy today - but I am hoping tomorrow I can get back to work!!! I have five files that need to be test cut before I can load them in the store!!!

Hope you are all well and survived Superbowl Sunday!!! (YAH Giants!!!)

Until Next Time!
