Survivor... of more than one kind!!

So yesterday ended up being quite an interesting day. For those who are new to reading my blog - the squirrels love to torment my dog! I swear to you - those squirrels are EVIL! They come all the way up to the door steps and flick their tails at my dog!!! She goes nuts!!! (Hehehe...get it... nuts!!! Bahahaha!!!)

Well it drives me insane!!!! I have gotten to the point that I just barely open the door and yell at the squirrels to scare them off (If I let her out to chase them, she will sit under the tree forever and I get sick of waiting on her to come back in!!)

Anyway (now that you have the background) yesterday afternoon Inja (the female dog) was going ballistic at the back door. So much that the puppy (our boy dog Iwe) started barking as well. So thinking that it was yet another squirrel I went to the back door - but when I opened it.... there was no squirrels. I mean none!

I thought, hmmm maybe they actually need to go out and potty. So I let both dogs out. Well Inja started nosing all around the plants on the patio. I kept telling her - there isn't any squirrels hiding back there... but she kept acting all skittish. So I took my foot and pushed one of the planters out of the way to prove there was no squirrels and the it was - A SNAKE!!!!

Now I am not really overly scared of snakes. But let me tell you - any snake that is on my back patio - he pretty much writes his own death sentence in my opinion....

So I round all the dogs up and get them inside and then I go to the garage to get the "hoe". Well - then the chase to get the snake was on. Needless to say - he wasn't ready for his life to end - so it was a little bit of a cat and mouse chase - but I am happy to report -I won the race!!!!

So after killing the snake and taking him off in the woods to dump his body - I came back to wash the blood and yuck off the patio - and low and behold - what did I see?!?!?!

Our friend the toad!

Toad lives on the back patio and he eats the bugs at night. And let me tell you is a pretty sweet life. He is sooo freaking big he can barley hop at all!! And then it dawned on me.... that snake was trying to get out friend the toad!!!! So whether toad knows it or not - yesterday was his lucky day! He is a Survivor!!!!

And speaking of Survivor..... Tonight is the season premier of Survivor Gabon!!!!

I love love love the reality show Survivor.... all my family knows I am not going to pick up the phone on Thursday night - so don't even bother to call!!! Bahahaha!!!

I watched the TV Guide Extra that introduced all the players from this season.... and it is going to be pretty interesting - from an 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist to a pin up model to a Doctor from Atlanta, GA (who was also voted as one of Atlanta's Hottest Bachelor's) this season should be pretty interesting to say the least!!!!

Ok - I think that is about it.... Oh wait! I wanted to let you know that I have got the Custom Made Photo stars up at the Beloved Keepsakes Store!!!! So if you are interested in purchasing a one of a kind gift - check it out!!!

Tomorrow - I will share photos of the winning stars from last weeks contest!!!

I only have a moment to stop in today... I am off on a secret mission! I wish I could tell you what it is... but the person who is going to benefit from my mission reads my blog.... so.... I can't be giving a peep of a clue!! Sorry!!!

But I can tell you - it is going to be fun and exciting!!!! (I know, I know.... the suspense must be killing you!!! Bahahaha!!!)

Other than that - not a whole lot new going on! Still busy as a bee.... I got the Navy, Coast Guard and Marine Corp star's finished up!!! Now I just have to finish up the Army one.... and I still haven't heard from Jill about claiming her Air Force one..... Hmmmm - we may have to redraw for this one..... HOPEFULLY I will hear from her soon!!!

Thanks for the input on cutters - I have to say I am more confused than ever!!! LOL I have had two people suggest the Tonic cutter...... maybe I should just say - "Hey guys - I need a new cutter - have any suggestions? If so please leave me a comment in the comment section! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!"

Think that will do it??

Until Next Time!

Anyone willing???

To help a girl out??? I asked about the MM Trimmer yesterday and I got two replies (Thanks Karen - and Bobbi - I will let you know!!!!) Yep - that's it - just two..... So maybe you guys are not all impressed with that cutter????

So tell me - does anyone have this Laser cutter by X-Acto??? And if you do which one do you have??? There seems to be two of them and I can't find out what the difference is besides one is plastic and the other is wood???
I really like the idea of a laser - and I like the stop on the side.... This is what X-Acto has to say about it...

Cuts up to 12 sheets; X-ACTO hardened steel blade; X-ACTO Perpetual Edge Self-Sharpening System; auto shut-off for increased laser life; safety guard keeps fingers away from blade; adjustable sliding guide for precision cuts; heavy-duty plastic construction; non-skid rubber feet; english and metric grids.

Hmmmmm........ what's a girl to do????? (Especially when she has some cash ola in her pocket and she needs a new cutter!!!) Bahahaha!!!

Other than that - I am cranking out these photo stars!!! I have heard from all my winners except Jill aka cashNmoose (Air Force)... Jill? Jill? Did you know you won??? Girl - send me an email!!! LOL I need to know you haven't flown away!!! (HA - man am I funny or what?!!? I think I need a diet coke!!)

Wel.... I think that is it from the Beloved Keepsakes Shop..... off to play with my modge podge!

Until Next Time!

Happy Monday....

And I have to say - so far today - it has been pretty happy!

Started the morning off bright and early taking our puppy to the vet to get the ole snip snap! Oh you know what I mean!!! Hopefully this will help alleviate some of his aggression issues. I know, I know... he is only six months old but he is brute weighing in at I am guessing 18 lbs!!! And in the past few days has tried to show me who is the REALLY BOSS of this house.

Speaking of puppies - here is a really cute photo I got of the two of them.... considering you can never get the two of them anywhere close to each other with out them playing - I was pretty excited to get this photo!!!

After dropping the puppy off at the vet - hubby and I ran to the grocery store to pick up a few things..... as we were getting ready to walk out I saw that the grocery store sold lottery tickets!!! (I know, how crazy is that???) Well it just so happened that I had stopped to get a diet coke and a candy bar a few months ago and instead of getting my change - I asked for two one dollar scratch off tickets.... Well I had won three dollars... so I dug them out of my purse and traded them in - and guess what - I WON a $100 DOLLARS!!!! Whoo Hooo!!!!

How exciting!!!!

So hubby was like - get whatever scrapbooking tool that you have been lusting after but refused to buy.... so I am thinking about getting the Precision Paper Trimmer by Making Memories. Does anyone have this?? Do you love it?? Let me know!!!
Professional construction meets sophisticated utility with Making Memories 12" x 12" Precision Paper Trimmer. Long-lasting rotary blade provides accurate, straight cuts while sharpening itself at the same time, making every cut as precise as the first. Folds out into a 12" x 12" trimmer, then folds down to easily fit in your Runway Roller. A trimmer this specialized at this affordable price makes it, truly, a cut above the rest.....

Well I am off to work on some more stars!!! My Winners have started sending in their photos - and I have one of the stars already completely done!!! I will share them all when I am through!!!
(Oh - and if you won a star and you haven't contacted me yet - PLEASE DO!!!!)

Until Next Time!
