Dum De Dum Dum....

Well here we are - the FIRST official day of accountability!!! It is WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY!!!!

Ok - lets recap last week - Last Wednesday I weighed in at 210.5 my goal was to lose 50.5 pounds to get down to 160 (the weight that I actually weighed when I got married and the skinniest I have every been)... but alas that is not to be...

I had to re-negotiate my weight loss with my husband (the weight loss slave driver) and now my new goal is 148 lbs! So that means my total weight to lose went UP to 62.5 lbs that I need to lose!

I know, I know... as if 50.5 lbs wasn't aggressive enough... but here's the deal! My hubby has agreed that IF I can lose the 62.5 lbs in the next 14 months while he is deployed and IF I actually get down to 148 lbs - that he will take me to the Dominican Republic for a week for "Kite Surfing" school when he returns!!! Whooo Hoooo!!!!

I really would love to learn how to kites surf!! I have been fascinated with it ever since I saw some guys at Tybee Island doing it!! (Tybee Island is our local beach and it is supposedly one of the best places in America to kite surf!!!) Hubby likes to surf the old fashion way - but to me - that is like bobbing for sharks!! I don't want to sit out there and just bob until the "perfect" wave comes..... Oh No!!! I feel the need - the NEED for SPEED!!!! (And I know after my NASCAR tale that doesn't surprise you at all!!!!)

I got a practice kite the first Christmas we were married - and I have to tell you I think I am pretty good at AT LEAST controlling my kite. I can take off by myself and I can actually land the thing... but now you have to understand a practice kite is about 1/10th the size of a REAL kite surfing kite!

Ok for those of you that don't know what Kite Surfing is - here ya go (this is actually in Cabarete Bay in the Dominican Republic) -

CRAZY HUH!?!?!?!

Anywho - I digress.... so the official WEIGH IN today was (drum rollllll pleaseeeeee):

205.5 lbs

For a total of five pounds lost this week!!! That now brings my total to lose to 57.5 lbs. Whooo Hoooo!!! Ok, Ok I have to be honest its not as much as I would have liked - but it is a safe amount... and if I can just keep it up!!! (I figure to lose 67.5 lbs in 14 months I have to lose almost 5 lbs a month - so I am doing good!!!)

Now... did I do everything that I could this week to lose weight???? No I didn't!! I didn't walk on my treadmill every day.... and on Saturday I totally cheated and ate over my 1100 calories and I even had SWEET TEA!!!! I know, I know.... but I figured it wouldn't hurt to cheat ONE day.... BUT..... it did!

This next week is going to be REALLY hard as I am heading out tomorrow to spend about four days with hubby - and we will be staying in a hotel the whole time. That means restaurant or fast food. No treadmill - and not to mention mandatory events and functions that will be taking up a huge amount of that time..... but I am trying to remember this is a LIFE STYLE change - it is not a "quick fix" and I just have to take it one step at a time!!!!

So..... How about the rest of you???? How did you do this week??? I expect to hear in my comment section!!! Don't make me HUNT you down and hold you accountable!!!!

I am not sure if I will have time to blog tomorrow between getting packed up, taking the dogs to the kennel and driving to Atlanta..... but I will try! I might be hit and miss for the next few days - so I guess I will see ya when I see ya!!

Until Next Time!

Oh what a day....

Thanks to everyone that has entered a name for my friends business!!! (See post below)... We are still searching for the RIGHT name - so if you have any more ideas... please please please send them on.

Other than that not a whole lot going on when you list it all out -but dang if I don't feel really busy!!! I am trying to get all my new files test cut (I have 26 new files so far!!!) and then I am trying to get everything ready for this weekend!!

I am heading out to see my hubby and there is a "formal" military ball and send off on Friday night!!! So I have to get new tires on my car, pack the dogs stuff, pack my stuff - take the dogs to the kennel - and I am sure a whole bunch of other stuff as well!!

Speaking of the ball - I tried on my dress on Saturday - sheesh!! IT IS TIGHT!!!! But I am hoping that this week has paid off and that by Friday I will actually be able to sit down and breath while in the dress!!! Tomorrow is weigh in day - so I guess we will see!!

I went and got my toes done... I love painted toe nails - don't ask me why but I do!! They are one of those small little joys in life! That and the foot massage you get while they are doing your toes!!! LOL

Anywho.... I got to run - make sure you check back tomorrow and see the first official weigh in since I have been determined to lose the flab!!!!

Hope you have a great day - and PLEASE keep sending us those store names!!!!

we need YOUR help...

So here's the deal - my BFF (and the mother of my God Daughter) has decided to start yet another business!! (Man this girl is a business starting fool!!! And they have all been sooo successful!! I want to be just like her when I grow up!!! LOL) But anyway... she has decided to start another business - this time it is going to be an online used baby clothing store....

She will go around to yard sales, estate sales, consignment shops... have you - and purchase "gentle" used baby clothing that she will then wash, iron and resale on her website - allowing there to be "one" place to purchase all your clothing needs for your baby!!!

How cool is that??? (And let me tell you - the girl LOVES to shop - she taught me all she knows about getting a GOOD deal - and she has the BEST taste in baby clothes!!!)

But here is where you come in.... we need help picking out a name for her online store!!! And it isn't as easy as it sounds - we need a domain name that ISN'T ALREADY TAKEN!!!

We want to the name to reflect what the business is - and that will be really easy to remember - and more importantly - it needs to be AVAILABLE!!!! (Let me tell you I sent her a list of about 60 names - and all the really cute ones I came up with are taken!!!)

Sooooo... if all of you - my creative friends are up to the challenge - help us come up with a NAME!!! If that name is available and if she picks your NAME - she will give you $10 credit at the new online store!!! And to sweeten the deal - I she picks your name and it is available I will give you $10 worth of my cutter files (your choice) from the Paperthreads Store or a $10 coupon to the Beloved Keepsakes Boutique!!

So come on - put your thinking caps on - and help us find her new store a name!!!! I told her that if anyone could rise to this challenge it would be you guys.... so don't let me down... tell us your idea's in the comment section of my blog!!

THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE - and GOOD LUCK!!!

Until Next Time!
