What 'cha watching?

So what do you watch on TV? Personally, I am not a huge TV watcher. BUT when I do.. I love Reality TV! Yep - if you checked my TIVO history pretty much everything I record and watch is reality TV. I would even go so far to say I am a reality TV junkie!!(Hmmm I wonder if there is a support group for that???!!!)

So what programs are my favorites? Well first I would say "Survivor"! I love that show. I didn't watch the first season until the final episode. Yep - you guessed it - there was a "Survivor" party and I attended - and had never, not once watched a single show up until that point - but hey, I was single and a party was a party!!! LOL

After that - I was hooked!!! Have not missed a single season yet! (That is 13 seasons I have actually watched now!) I liked "Survivor" so much I named my two fish (that survived ten days of h-e-double hockey sticks) Rob and Amber from Season 8 - the "All Star Survivor".

I also like: "The Deadliest Catch", "American's Next Top Model", "Beauty and the Geek", "America's Got Talent", "For Love or Money", "The Swan".... and to be honest the list could go on and on!!!

One program that I never got into was "American Idol" - until.... Hubby was deployed and one of the other wives and I became really good friends (now she is my bestest friend ever!). Well she loved that program! Just loved it... so being the friend I am, I started watching it too. That way we could talk about it - and yep - I got HOOKED!!! SO HOOKED in fact this last season, when hubby was home on R&R I actually made him suffer through it and watch it with me a few times!!! (I believe his comment was, "I would rather poke my eye out with a sharp stick than to watch this!")

I actually like Simon. He cracks me up! Randy and his "dawg" comments are funny as well! And who doesn't like Paula - she tries so hard to be nice!!! I love to see how America will vote!! Do you know that more people actually vote for "American Idol" than they do for the President of the United States!!!! (Crazy huh!!! Now you do have to factor in that anyone can vote for Idol no matter their age, and you can vote as many times as you like during the call in hours - but still!!!! That is CRAZY TALK!!!)

So in honor of "Reality TV"... Here is today's freebie!!!

Sorry this file is no longer available!

Now I know that you all have some photos lying around where you can use this file!!! Me included!! As a matter of fact - when hubby was home this last time, two of his children came to visit. One of their favorite things to do in the evening time before bed was to play Xbox. In particular - they loved the game: Karaoke Revolution.... So here are a few photo's of hubby in his "singing glory!!!" (Not sure if you can tell in the photo - but his character on the game looked a heck of a lot like him! Older, redheaded, very pale skinned!! It was quite funny!!!)

(And how about that air guitar? Can't you just hear it screaming!)

Just for the record - I can SING!! No matter what my hubby says!! Actually, I out scored all of them and got a platinum album the very first time I ever played!!! :)

Hope you enjoy the file - and even more - Hope you have GREAT weekend! Keep on Singing!!!!

Really late post...

Ok - First let me apologies for posting soooo late!! It has been a day let me tell you!!!! As most of you know I have been battling with my leaky roof - and the drama just keeps on going and going. Two roofers, my neighbor, the project manager for the restoration company and my dad have been involved in the saga today. I was in the attic three times personally today - and yes more water came in.... Supposedly, it is the siding on the Chimney... We shall see.....

When I wasn't dealing with this water issue I was having to deal with the corporation stuff! Yep, hubby and I combined all our businesses and started a corporation. So that has filled the rest of my day with even more busy work!!

But - for the good news..... (drum roll please)......

ALL MY FILES THAT ARE COMPLETED ARE UP IN THE STORE NOW!!!

Woooo Hooooo!!! Thanks Michelle!!!

So you can just hop right on over there and shop, shop, shop!!! It is hard to believe that I actually have 41 files up in the store right now!! Wow - 41 files!!!! Ssssshhhhh... don't tell, but I have some more ready to test cut!!!!

Well it is almost 1 AM here - so I am off to bed... make sure you check back later on - as you know it is FRIDAY - and I usually have something fun for you on Fridays!!!! Hmmm, wonder what it could be.... LOL)

See I was afraid of this...

One of the things I was most afraid of when I was bullied into staring a blog (yeah - thanks Chris!!!) was that I would not have anything to say! I mean for the most part my life is pretty boring!!!

Well I think today is one of those days... I am still dealing with the roof leak - thrilling - NOT! I am still designing - fun! - REALLY! And that is pretty much my life today!!!!

So I think I'll leave you with a sample of some new files that will be for sale at Paperthreads soon!

Hope you have a GREAT day and thanks for stopping by!

A few of my Favorite things...

So, I am sitting here in my scrapbooking room/office (oh how I love love love this room) working away - test cutting some new files. As I was working, I started to think about some of the tools I use when scraping and mainly the tools I use when I am cutting and assembling test cuts. (In case you didn't know, I am a TOOL JUNKIE!!!! I JUST LOVE TOOLS!!! And there isn't a Christmas or Birthday that goes by that I don't have some kind of scrapbooking/craft tool on my wish list!)

So today I thought I would share a few of those favorite items with you my blog readers!

First on my list:

My Cricut spatula! I love this tool! It is just perfect for sliding under paper to pick your die cuts up off the mat. The handle is slanted at the perfect angle, and the actual spatula blade is very very thin and flexible! This is my favorite tool for removing items off of a sticky mat!

Next would be my retractable craft knife. Every now and again I have a die cut that just didn't cut all the way through. Well this is the knife I use! It has a very slender blade that’s easy to control. It has a very sharp and easy to replace blade. No more searching for the cap to your knife—a simple click and you’re ready to go!
Oh I also love my cutter bee's. This small little scissors are perfect for cutting everything and anything. They have non stick blades, which you just have to love. And they are sharp, sharp, sharp! They also include a blade cover - which is great for keeping the tips of your blades protected!
Then there is my Non stick craft sheet by Ranger Ink. Nothing sticks to this bad boy!!! It is a reusable, heat resistant, non penetrating craft sheet. Believe it or not - you could even cook on this thing in the oven!!! And let me tell you - clean up is a breeze. You let your excess glue, paint, embossing ink dry - then you just peel it off!!

And finally - lets talk adhesives. Now I love my Xryon machines - all three of them!! But it can get a little pricey Xryoning all the paper that I cut. So I normally hog the Xyron for my personal scrapbooking. When it come to cutting files - a lot of my files are really detailed. They have a lot of detailed cuts and small pieces. So I have found two glue pens that I just love!!!

The first is the Zig Squeeze and Roll. The glue is blue when wet - clear when dry (as with most glue pens). It is also a two way glue- permanent or temporary. It has a fine ballpoint pen end and you gently squeeze the bubble grip to dispense the glue. I like this one because you can control the "amount" of glue you want by how hard you squeeze.

The second glue pen I just love is the Sakura Quickie Glue pen. Quickie Glue gives you the writing ease of a pen with glue in a ballpoint barrel. You can put glue on paper as easily as signing your name. It is also a permanent or temporary bond glue. But it is shake-free, squeeze-free and I have to say it has no uncontrolled spreading or globing.

So there you have it.... just a few of my favorite things. I would love to hear what your favorite tools for scrapping are. (Hey, Christmas is not far away and I need to start thinking about my wish list!!!)

Until next time...

Show and Tell....

First let me say thank you so much for all your kind words and encouragement from my ordeal on Sat!!! It really means a lot!!! Oh - and thanks Deb for the idea of storing my stuff - I didn't EVEN think about that!!!

So on to better things:

I have to tell you that the coolest thing to me - is seeing a final product that someone made using something that I designed. I just can't even tell you how amazing that feeling is. I don't have kids - so I guess for me - it is like what all you mothers feel when you see your child grow up. (Now let me state for the record - I admire all you mothers out there GREATLY. I don't think I could EVER do what you do!!! And just so you know - I have NO CHILDREN of my own.. so I can only imagine that these are the feels you may have!)

I tried to explain it to my bestest friend a while back - it is like I had this idea for an title (the conception) then I actually designed it (the birth), and then I placed it for sale (the nurturing and caring part), and then someone actually bought it (it left home) and THEN they send me a photo of their final project (my baby is all grown up and a productive citizen of the world!!!!!). WOW what a feeling!!!!

So here is a photo of the Custom Class of 1990 title that I designed, then cut and package to sell to my friend and LSS owner Jamie:

And here is a photo of her final layout:

(Oh my baby is all grown up!!! The title - not Jamie!! LOL)

I also heard from the grapevine that my same friend Jamie (now TV super star) used my "Home from Iraq" layout on her final segment "of what other things besides vacations you can scrap" on the FOX Good Morning Show on Channel 10 (they are an ABC affiliate!!!) Whooo Hoooo!!! How cool is that!!! (You can see a photo of this layout out a little further down on Wed's post.)

Here is a layout that Jamie did about her day as a TV "Newsmaker":

Now what you can't see so well in this layout out (bear with me - this is another really cool thing!!!) is the photo of Jamie and the cute little news chick. So here it is:

I can hear you now- "so what" you are thinking to yourself... well if you look a little closer:

Yep! That is a Beloved Keepsakes Photo Bracelet my gal pal Jamie is wearing!!!! Whoooo Hoooo!!! So not only did my scrapbooking layouts make it on the FOX Morning Show but indirectly so did one my bracelets!!!

So I hope you enjoyed show and tell today!!! If you have a photo of a final project that you completed using one of my files I would love love love to see it!!! And hey I'll even showcase it here on my blog!

Happy Monday to you all!
