We have lost yet another brave soldier...

Message from Major General Terry Nesbitt
The Adjutant General, Georgia National Guard

It is with the deepest regret that I announce the death of CPL Raymundo Porras Morales who died July 21, 2009, from injuries sustained in a vehicle roll-over incident near Methar Lam, Afghanistan.

Morales, 34, of Dalton, was a member of Cedartown's Company D, 148th Brigade Support Battalion. He is survived by his wife and two children and his parents.

CPL Morales' death underscores the inherent dangers faced by each of our Soldiers in every mission they perform in support of training the Afghan security and police forces.

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to CPL Morales' family at this very difficult time.

Note: United States flags on GA DoD facilities will be flown at half-mast upon return to US soil of CPL Morales' remains, and will remain at half-mast until sunset of the day of his final interment.

How does this happen???

You know some days I just shake my head and think - "How the heck did this happen?" Today is one of those days!!! So I went to water aerobics today - even though I really didn't want to. Just feeling kind of blue still in addition to the "X" chromosome thing... But anyway - I went...

So I am in class and our instructor had already told us that she would not be at class on Friday or on Monday of next week.... so I was talking with one of the other ladies in my class - and I was saying that I thought I might go to the pool anyway because I was afraid that if I didn't go to class on Friday and then I didn't go to class again on Monday that come Wed of next week - I might just not go. To which the all agreed - and then some how or another it became that I am teaching class on Friday! HUH?!?! How did that happen??? Sheesh!!!

Anyway - other that that not a lot going on except I am in conversion HELL!!!! Yes, there is no other way to describe it... sorry if I have offend anyone - but if you had to sit in front of your computer hours on ending converting the 286 files that you have designed in the past two years - well you would think the SAME thing!!! LOL

But on a good note - when it is all said and done - all my cutter files will be able to be cut with the Cricut machine and with the SCAL program! So I know that is going to make some of my customers very very very happy!!!!

And speaking of customers..... I uploaded the very last file to the Scrapbooking, Cards and More Membership today!

"The Inn" is actually "The End".... Bahahahaha !!! It's bitter sweet! I have really enjoyed hostess the membership and I think (and I hope) that the 24 designs that I offered were of a wide variety and could be used on several different levels!!! All in all I had over 80 people join and I just can't thank each and every one of you for being a part of such a great quarter!!!! SO THANK YOU!!!!

I think that's about it for today! I have a few yellow ribbon photo pin orders to get out and then I am back to converting!

Hope you have a GREAT hump day!

Until Next Time!

Ugh....

There are some days where I am not very grateful that my Dad supplied those "X" chromosomes instead of the "Y" ones if you know what I mean..... and today is one of those day!!!

Thus the only thing I have gotten accomplished today was taking the car in for its 30,000 mile check up! $277 dollars and three and a half hours later - I am back home eating a chocolate brownie from Chic-Fil-a! I know, I know - that is so NOT diet food - but hey - sometimes a girls got to do what a girls got to do....

And speaking of got to do - there is a ton of things I need to be doing.... but I think I am going to a heat pad and lay on the sofa for a little!!

Until Next Time!

Monday Morning Blues....

Well here we are another overcast and now rainy Monday!! That never helps my blah Monday Morning blues.... I will say that I have done pretty good this morning - as I didn't get to bed until 3 AM and I was up at 8 AM and on time to water aerobics at 9 AM! But I have to say I am pretty frustrated with my weight loss! As I have been going to water aerobics for three weeks now and I am STUCK at 182 lbs!!!! Grrrr!!!!

And while at 182lbs that means I have lost 32 lbs - I still have 37 more pounds to go - and I was hoping and even praying that water aerobics was going to push me to lose even more weight and that just hasn't happened!! And yes - before you even ask - I am pushing myself in class!!! I have been at the upper edge of my target heart rate every single class!!!

Oh well.... on a kind of cool note - I worked with my embroidery machine some this weekend! And I ended up finishing this cute little dress for my God Daughter!

I still need to hem it and add the ribbon on the bottom - but I think I will do that once I know that it fits her and I can see exactly how long it needs to be!!!

And speaking of my God Daughter and Monday Morning Blues... I have to share these photos with you. It seems my BFF turned her head for two mins and my God Daughter found a permeate BLUE marker and decided that she was the best canvas available!!! LOL

Hmmm - maybe she is picking up my artistic talents!

Hope you have a GREAT Monday! If you are a member of the Scrapbooking, Cards and More membership I did upload this new file this weekend:

I think it is a very cute summer time invite!!

I have one more file to go (For a total of 24 files!!!) I think the membership is still in the store if you want to purchase it - otherwise I am working on all my Cricut conversions and will be putting some new stuff in the store soon!

Until Next Time!
