Checking in....

I am alive!!!  It amazes me how time gets away from me... I kept meaning to come on here and let you all know where I was and what I was up too - but somehow I was unable to find the time....

So here's the deal - hubby came home on Thursday evening and announced he had a four day weekend!!!!  Whooooo Hooooo!!!  Yep - no mail on Monday for you - meant I got a day to hang with my hubby!!!

So on Friday morning - we loaded up the yaks and headed to the water!!!!!  We spent about 9 hours out on the water on Friday, 10 hours on Saturday and then 7 hours on Sunday!

Friday and Saturday were pretty much a bust for fishing - but Sunday - FINALLY - I caught my first saltwater trout from my kayak!!!

He was pretty nice in size as well -

And then on my next cast out - I got this one!  (He was a bit smaller.)

Did you know that saltwater trout have teeth?!?!  And they are sharp!!!  Ah - That was it though I am afraid.  Not much but I have to tell you I was soooo excited to have finally caught something from my boat - man I thought I had lost my fish catching abilities!!!

Then yesterday was my dad's birthday - so hubby and I went to dinner with the parents!  Great times!!!

Now here we are - back at work...  Hope you all had a GREAT weekend as well!  I have some cute stuff to show off to you tomorrow!

Until Next Time!
